A deeper dive into the logic behind the up and coming changes to the rewarding program.

Why change the rewarding model?

  1. Reducing the sell pressure: offering endless and plentiful distributions of $UtiliteX to holders of $TRSRY was creating ever-growing sell pressure as many strive to generate that all important passive income.

  2. Reducing inflation. At the rate at which $UtiliteX was being distributed through the rewarding program, the inflation would have contributed to a likely steady decrease in the value of the token, to the detriment of the project and it's holders.

  3. Encouraging greater loyalty. After all, the rewards were always intended to encourage loyalty for the Treasury XRPL project first and foremost.

  4. Build buying pressure and value: the combination of the growing suite of products and services that will be available to $UtiliteX combined with a well thought-out rewarding program will encourage people to buy regularly which in turn should encourage growth.

$UtiliteX was initially distributed to reward the loyalty of our $TRSRY holders. But loyalty comes in different guises: those that hold what they received for free from our learn-to-earn Academy, versus those buying additional $TRSRY over time, for example. Thus, the rewarding program needs to reflect these nuances and reward the different types of hodlers accordingly, which is the reason for working up a tiered rewarding structure.
